New Record Number of Children Helped
The Calhoun/Cleburne Children's Center conducted 462 forensic interviews and provided more than 600 services for victims of child abuse. The Children's Center interviewed more children than any Children's Advocacy Center in the state of Alabama except Mobile and Montgomery.  The Calhoun/Cleburne Children's Center provided more service to victims than any CAC except Mobile.

Executive Director Joe Nabors contributes the large number of services and interviews to the quick and thorough response from area law enforcement and the Calhoun and Cleburne County Departments of Human Resources.  Without their response many victims would not be identified.  Because of their response individuals harming our children are stopped.  District Attorney Joe Hubbard provides quick and proficient prosecution of child abusers.  Last year over 50 child abusers were found guilty or plead guilty and 122 cases are in the process of going to trial.
